Safe Home KitHome Security: First Timer’s Luck With A Smart Buy

Either the world’s human population is too big or becoming poorer, as there are simply more and more people doing criminal activities right now. No matter the reason may be, I’m not taking my chances at becoming a victim myself.

I might not have a black belt in karate however I found a similarly good way to keep my family members and me safe. Continue reading

  • Motion Alert Alarm

Marcy poured everything she had into her little gift shop. She rented a little building at the edge of a trendy neighborhood and converted the upstairs into a small apartment for herself.

Although she wished she had more money in her budget for a more elaborate security system, Marcy figured she'd be able to reinvest some of the profits from her business into a high-tech solution pretty quickly.

  • TASER Technology

A TASER® is an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles. Its manufacturer, TASER International, calls the effects "neuromuscular incapacitation" and device's mechanism "Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) technology". Someone struck by a TASER experiences stimulation of his or her sensory nerves and motor nerves, resulting in strong involuntary muscle contractions. TASER devices do not rely only on pain compliance, except when used in Drive Stun mode, and are thus preferred by some law enforcement over non-TASER stun guns and other electronic control weapons. At the present time, there are two main police models, the M26™ and X26™. Both come with various accessories, including a laser sight and mounted digital video camera that can record in low-light situations. TASER International is also marketing a civilian model called the C2™.

  • Things A Burglar Won’t Tell You #1

    1. Sometimes, I carry a clipboard. Sometimes, I dress like a lawn guy and carry a rake. I do my best to never, ever look like a crook.
    2. The two things I hate most: barking dogs and nosy neighbors.
    3. I’ll break a window to get in, even if it makes a little noise. If your neighbor hears one loud sound, he’ll stop what he’s doing and wait to hear it again. If he doesn’t hear it again, he’ll just go back to what he was doing. It’s human nature.
    4. I’m not complaining, but why would you pay all that money for a fancy alarm system and leave your house without setting it?
    5. I love looking in your windows. I’m looking for signs that you’re home, and for flat screen TVs or gaming systems I’d like. I’ll drive or walk through your neighborhood at night, before you close the blinds, just to pick my targets.

  • Diversion Safe

When a criminal breaks into your home they will only spend a few minutes inside while they look for the most valuable items to steal. They will usually choose smaller items that they can easily carry right out your front door such as jewelry, watches and cash. Burglars know the best places in the house to look, and can be on their way with your most treasured possessions in a very short time.

A great solution is what is known as a diversion safe. Continue reading
